There is about 25 varieties of desserts available on Ben's menu.
I can safely say that I've tried about half of it but I've the tendency to stick to my favorite few.
1. Ben's Chocolate Cake. Rm11.90.
I'm not a big fan of chocolate but this is to die for. The brownie was warm when it was served, it was thick and moist and you can just see chocolate lava oozing out. This started to get really sweet only towards the end, hence, the vanilla ice cream somewhat neutralizes its sweetness along the way. A must try.
2. Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae. Rm10.90.
Right at the bottom of the glass is a chunk of creamy and soft macadamia cheesecake. In the middle is a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with generous amount of caramelized macadamia nuts.
This is what I'm talking about! I reckon every meal in Ben's have to end with this. One of Ben's best selling desserts.
3. Apple Crumble. Rm12.90.
4. Walnut Brownie. Rm11.90.
5. Strawberry Shortcake. Rm10.90.
Vanilla spongecake layered with strawberry cream and topped with a caramelized strawberry. I wasn't impressed with this shortcake. It just tasted like normal strawberry sponge cake. I would not recommend.
6. Berry Pavlova Sandwich. Rm13.90.
However big-a-fan I am of pavlova, there was just too much cream in this.
7. Banoffee Sundae. Rm10.90.
A mix of Vanilla ice cream, fresh bananas and berries, shortbread and dressed in chocolate sauce then top with a crunchy biscuit. Compared to the Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae, this is very much lighter and easier to digest.
8. Berrific Sundae. Rm10.90.
Vanilla ice cream topped a handful of mixed berries, strawberries, chocolate biscuits and dressed with chocolate sauce and a crunchy waffle at the side. This version of a sundae is the lightest among all 3 sundaes.
Overall Rating: 8/10 purely for the love of Macadamia Cheesecake Sundae. I would also recommend the rest of the desserts above with the exception of strawberry shortcake.
